Jul 9, 2017 Sep 1, 2017  I have a problem with HP EliteBook 845 14 inch G10 (product 8F8A6UA) and "Active Smart Card Reader". Originally my laptop came without an "Active Smart Card Reader", so I procured a replacement part "N02323-001" (Card reader) and N09040-001 (Cable kit).

On my EliteBook 850 G8, I can see the Smart Card Reader on the left side of the laptop. There is something silver blocking the opening. I tried pushing on it with a paperclip and it did not open. I recetly installed Alcor Smart Card Reader driver for Windows 10, in order to use Smart card in my HP EliteBook 8570p. When I insert card, the reader recognize it and I can use my it normaly, with the software I supose to. After I eject the card and put it back again, the reader is not responding. I tried this with 4 different types of cards . When I click the link in David's message below I am redirected to a HP-page saying there are temporary problems. I would like to get the SD-card reader to detect SD-cards from my Sony A99 camera. Kind regards, ULF

All units have a SIM card stray but units that do not support WWAN are shipped with a non-removable SIM slot plug.
