In this tutorial, we will walk through how one can read RSSI values from an UHF RFID tags using the Cottonwood UHF Long distance RFID reader module. An . I recently purchased a Cottonwood TTL UART Long Range UHF RFID reader (ISO18000-6C EPC G2). I also purchased the •5dBi PCB UHF RFID 902-928M Antenna 5cm .In this tutorial, we will walk through how one can read RSSI values from an UHF RFID tags using the Cottonwood UHF Long distance RFID reader module. An RSSI value is a measurement of received signal strength.
I recently purchased a Cottonwood TTL UART Long Range UHF RFID reader (ISO18000-6C EPC G2). I also purchased the •5dBi PCB UHF RFID 902-928M Antenna 5cm x 5cm and •UHF RFID tags for flex surface (tape on back), EPC Gen2 (900MHz). I would like to integrate the reader with an Arduino Uno.Cottonwood distance reader has many advantages such as: compatibility with different protocols, high reading speed multi-tags reading, linearly polarized antenna, waterproof appearance designing and etc. It can be widely used in RFID systems, and is very friendly to further development based on it.This command is used to read the reader’s firmware and hardware ID. I want to use the use the Cottonwood UHF RFID Reader to turn on LEDs based on the tag number of the tag being read. I attempted writing a program to achieve this, but it was unsuccessful. Is there any way I can do this? Many users are asking what is the reading distance of cottonwood, the UHF RFID reader module. Actually, cottonwood is just a reader module without antenna. The reading distance really depends on the antenna that we are going to use with the antenna. We unfortunately don’t have a sample code for the Cottonwood UHF RFID Reader with the Raspberry Pi using UART. Here is a tutorial on Hackster using the Cottonwood Reader with the Raspberry Pi. A USB to UART adapter is needed though.
