He was born in Hiroshima, Japan.
His father was also a chef specializing in French cuisine so he became familiar with French cooking at a very early age.
He started his career in Ginza Tokyo, then moved to France and Switzerland in 1999. He worked there for seven years before taking up the position of Head Chef at La Résidence in 2007.
In 2018, He awarded the order of Agricultural Merit by French government for his contribution in the development and promotion of French cuisine in Cambodia.
